Born in Curaçao in 1955 and graduated for VWO at Radulphus College in 1974, Peter Grootens (RA) started his career at KPMG Amsterdam in 1974. He returned to Curaçao in 1982 as a register accountant (R.A.) and joined KPMG Dutch Caribbean. He was appointed partner at KPMG in 1985, where he became chairman of KPMG Dutch Caribbean. In 1999, with the spun-off of KPMG Consulting (that changed its name in BearingPoint International), Peter moved to Miami USA and became regional leader of BearingPoint Latin America including the Caribbean. With the management buyout of BearingPoint Caribbean in 2010 Peter’s full focus is back on the Dutch Caribbean.
